Here is Angel on 5/3/10. She's so alert and getting playful. She's training to be a flag girl and using pee pads as her flag. She and her sibling are not happy today. Last night was the 1st night without their mom and they are having a food strike to show they are not pleased. They will now begin the slow change to completely dry kibble. As you can see, she and her sibling are loving the crate. They are too cute! Friday will be their 6 week checkup with the vet. Another week and they will be ready to go!
I've nicknamed this little one Angel because she is an angel of a puppy. She is so loving and sweet. She has decided she really likes humans and already is biting the wire on the puppy door to get to me. She sleeps in the crook of my arm while we watch TV. She is learning to eat on her own. I watched her when her mother came in to feed them and Angel went to the food bowl first. She's ahead of the game in not littering her sleeping place and instead hunts for a pee pad. Her eyes are still changing. They still look blue in these photos but they are turning a light brown, I think. Still too early too tell. She was a sweetie for her first bath. That's impressive.

I finally got a pic of the elusive Sookie, the mom. I found the secret to keeping her happy during picture taking time - chicken jerky. So, here are some pics of mom and her babies, finally. She is a beautiful black and tan. She's smiling because I gave her chicken. : )
Sookie's Boy - SOLD
Chocolate/Tan with a little brindling. It should fade into the chocolate and the tan points will have a little brindle on them. His ears are looking good. His eyes are still light colored. I'm really hoping for light brown eyes. He's overtaken his sister in the weight department.
Sookie's Girl SOLD
She's also starting to color up pretty with no other color but chocolate. Her ears are looking good. She's now the smaller of the two. Her eyes are light still, as well. She's just a little angel. Please forgive my attempt to put her in angel wings. :)
